Good Friday, The day When our sins Erased!

Hey Guys!

Now is the day when our Lord, Jesus Christ, give His own Soul to The Father. This day also known as The Good Friday. In this day, we commemorate the death of Jesus, and following His death, our sins are erased away from our heart. Many people ask what is the history of the Good Friday. This is some history of one of the Holy Week.

Brief Description

The word "Good" in Good Friday actually is from the senses of pious, or Holy. This is a religious holiday for commemorating the crucifixion and the death on The Calvary. This day is part of Pascal Triduum and on the Friday and preceding in Easter Sunday.

The Time

The estimated year of Good Friday is AD 33, by two different groups, and originally as AD 34 by Isaac Newton via the differences between the Biblical and Julian calendars and the crescent of the moon.

A third method, using a completely different astronomical approach based on a lunar Crucifixion darkness and eclipse model (consistent with Apostle Peter's reference to a "moon of blood" in Acts 2:20), points to Friday, 3 April AD 33 (Wikipedia.org).

And That's the brief real life history of the Good Friday.

I want to tell you guys that there are several different methods that used in the Good Friday only.

1. On the beginning, the priest, clergy, and the altar servers are crouching in front of the altar.

2. The Passion gospel only be sing at this day. The Gospel is similar to the Gospel that read in the Palm Sunday, but in this time the Passion story is more specific.

3. And there is no singing, consecration, and all ceremony is silent. There is only a communion in the ceremony. (The Holy Bread is already blessed in the Night Praying event after The Holy Thursday), and Our Father pray.

4. Oh ya, there is a special part, too. The veneration of the cross. There are some smaller crosses that already blessed and all people in the church/chapel must kiss the cross. This is a symbol of honoring the cross.

And that's all about The Good Friday, the day when Jesus erase our sins with His death on the Golgotha. And what Jesus does is a Holy, very brave and honorable act to us. So, for us, we must be good, doing good to our self, our parents, and all people all around the world!

For all altar servers, thanks for your service for your, and our church of Santa Lusia. May God bless you all and give you happiness and joy in the Easter Morn, where he Rose from the death, conquering the darkness and save us from Satan's rule. Guys, I honestly really appreciate your Holy Duty.

Lent Weeks

Dear Friends,

We are approaching a holy season, which is the Lent season (also known for Catholic Boot-Camp). In this season, Jesus ask us to do good things and thinks about everything that we do before. This is the most challenging season in your Catholic experience. In this season, you also perform 40 days fasting. This means that you must do your abstinence and generally you couldn't eat meat product. Also, in this time you have to do Station of the Cross routinely.

Lent season is begin with an Ash Wednesday celebration (which in this year will celebrated on March 9th 2011), then the season continue with The Holy Week (Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday).

For you guys that joining the Santa Lucia's altar servers, be prepared for your most exciting and holy duty for serving in the Ash Wednesday and Holy Weeks and all Lent weeks.

For you guys who volunteered to become the Station of the Cross server, be prepare, too.

Listen the announcement, practicing before the day of task, pray to the Lord for strength in the task, and you're ready to go!

Ask your teachers and all church officials for your service time, and Serve The Lord!

New Release! : Sepuluh Prinsip Pokok Semua Misdinar...

Saya baru mendapatkan ini kemarin dari sebuah kertas yang bertuliskan tugas-tugas misdinar saat Kamis Putih... Dibaliknya saya membaca tulisan yang membuat saya ingin untuk mem-publikasikan tulisan ini yang ditulis oleh guru-guru kita.....

Tulisannya seperti ini:....

Sepuluh (10) Prinsip Pokok Putra-Putri Altar

Bersujud di depan altar ketika mengambil dan mengembalikan alat liturgi
Bila berjalan dan tidak memegang sesuatu, harap tangan terlipat di dada
Tidak terlambat datang supaya bisa mempersiapkan diri dalam kelompok
Bila sedang berdiri dan tidak memegang sesuatu, tangan dilipat di dada
Saling mengingatkan kawan bila lupa akan tugasnya
Menjalankan tugas dengan senang hati dan ikhlas
Penuh percaya diri (tidak ragu) dalam melaksanakan tugas
berjalan beriringan dengan pasangan (jangan saling meninggalkan)
Menjaga sikap liturgi yang baik pada saat berlutut ataupun duduk
Merapikan pakaian dan alat-alat liturgi setelah misa selesai

Tugas Pekan Suci...

Diberitahukan kepada semua teman-teman bahwa sebentar lagi kita akan merayakan Pekan Suci. Bagi teman-teman yang bertugas menjadi misdinar pada saat Pekan Suci, harap berlatih di gereja setelah misa/ibadat sabda. Latihan mingguan ini akan dilatih oleh guru-guru kita.

...Berikut Ini jadwal latihan misdinar Pekan Suci...

1. Minggu Palma : Sudah dilatih oleh bapk. Johannes Wijaya.
2. Kamis Putih : Harap menunggu waktu latihan
3. Jum'at Agung : Harap menunggu waktu latihan
4. Malam Paskah: Harap menunggu waktu latihan
5. Minggu Paskah: Harap menunggu waktu latihan

Teman-teman, itulah sedikit jadwal latihan misdinar. Untuk petugas silahkan baca langsung pengumuman yang telah disediakan, dan hubungi Bapak Wijaya atau guru-guru yang lainnya.

Semoga dengan latihan ini bisa membuat teman-teman semua menjadi misdinar yang baik dan disayangi oleh Tuhan Yesus.

Jadwal Misdinar.

Karena akan ada daftar pengurus dan kelompok misdinar yang sudah dibuat para 'guru-guru' kita, kita harus mengerti bagaimana cara membina para misdinar baru atau teman baru kita bagaimana cara berjalan, sikap-sikap kita saat misa, membantu pastor, membunyikan kerincing atau gong (kapan saja waktunya).(Note: walaupun sudah ada filmnya). Disarankan agar ketua mau memimpin kelompoknya agar lancar dalam tugas pelayanan di gereja. Dan disarankan juga agar latihan diadakan hari Minggu setelah misa berlangsung. Mudah-mudahan semua misdinar bisa melayani dengan baik seperti Santo Paulus. God bless you always...

Pesta Komuni Pertama Dan Advent ke 3

Kita ikut bahagia juga karena teman-teman kita sudah waktunya menerima Sakramen 'ketiga' dalam Katolik atau sering kita sebut Sakramen Komuni pertama. Biasanya kita harus sudah menerima Sakramen Baptis, dan Sakramen Rekonsiliasi atau yang kita kenal sebagai Pertobatan. Mudah-mudahan, mereka juga dipanggil untuk bergabung dengan kelompok Misdinar dan menjadi teman-teman satu kelompok.
